Birds nest fungi

Cyathus striatus I think. Birds nest fungi produce cup-like fruiting bodies that contain tiny "eggs", or peridioles. The cups are about 6mm wide. The peridioles contain the spores, and are knocked out of the cups by raindrops, and this is how the fungi reproduce. Photographed in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
